The XP is a long and narrow kayak that is not only fast, but also suprisingly stable and manoeuverable. It is made for extended day tours, day trips, and expeditons. The cockpit is a keyhole design that offers the snug fit of an ocean kayak and the comfort and ease of getting in and out of a recreational kayak. It has low, sleek lines, a shallow v-shaped hull, and well-defined chines. These characteristics make the XP handle well, turn easily, and have strong secondary stability. A day hatch and deep skeg are standard. A retractable rudder is optional. The XP comes in both fiberglass and a lighter/stiffer kevlar/carbon version.
