The X-Ray is a sleek but stable kayak that is as well suited for long expeditions as it is for shorter day paddles. It is designed with a shallow V-shaped hull which gives it excellent handling in rough weather and mininmizes yaw, even when the rudder and skeg are not deployed. The well defined chines allow for easier turning and a strong secondary stability. Finally,the low deck design reduces windage and makes it easier to roll and play in the surf. The X-Ray comes with a skeg and/or rudder and with or without a day hatch, depending on your needs.
